Newbie installing/password issues

Hi All, Thanks for your services here. Fantastic idea :) I’m running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5. I’ve downloaded and installed SugarCRM but when I get to the Sugar Setup Wizard: Database Configuration page (using Safari), it won’t let me go any further. It provides me with the following error message: “Please fix the following errors before proceeding: The provided database username and/or password is invalid, and a connection to the database could not be established. Please enter a valid user name and password. 1130: Host ‘192.168.2.100’ is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server).” I have tried using the username and password that I entered when installing Does anyone have any wisdom as to how I could approach this problem? I’d (obviously) love to get Sugar CRM up and running and try implementing it with my business ASAP. Please let me know if you require more information from me—more than willing to expand (prob be a steep learning curve for me!) :) Thanks in advance! Stumac. |

Hi Stumac, It seems that you have introduced a wrong password during the installation. Have you tried using another password (without spaces or strange characters) ? Please uninstall and install the SugarCRM Stack. If everything is correct you will not see the Sugar Wizard page. Cheers. |

Hi beltran, Thanks for your reply. I’ll have a go at doing as you say and see what I can come up with. I’ll let you know how it goes. Blessings, Stumac. |
