cannot boot image

hello,

I am using an Ubuntu/virtualbox guest, and when I boot the VM I get:

Boot from (hd0,0) ext3 … xyx
Starting up…
…
Alert! xyx does not exist!
dropping to a shell

What am I missing…?

Hi,

It is necessary to enable “PAE” in Processor settings. Also check that the hard disk controler is IDE instead of SATA.
