esxi snapshot back up

I have Alfresco Bitnami VM installed on an esxi 4.1 hypervisor. Can I use the snap shot function to effectively backup Alfresco? I understand that you need to back up the dbase and content store simultaneously, otherwise you can’t identify the data in the content store.

Hi,

Yes, you can do a snapshot to create a backup of the Virtual Appliance. I would recomment you to stop the servers to do a consistent snapshot.
