Configuring themes breaks Drupal on ami-6222ca0b

I’m seeing the following error using the AMI bitnami-cloud/drupal/bitnami-drupal-6.17-0-linux-ubuntu-10.04
(aka ami-6222ca0b)on Amazon.

I’ve made no config changes to Drupal.

When I try to configure any of the stock theme colors (e.g. /drupal/admin/build/themes/settings/minnelli) , I get the following error on the confirmation page.

• The configuration options have been saved.
• The directory sites/default/files/color/minnelli-ae623cb5 has been created.

• warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in /opt/bitnami/apps/drupal/htdocs/includes/file.inc on line 788.
• The file could not be created.
• warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in /opt/bitnami/apps/drupal/htdocs/includes/file.inc on line 788.
• The file could not be created.

From this point on, that theme is broken – it looks like the CSS is missing.

Otherwise it works fine. Thanks for the great AMI’s and any help!

There are posted some workarounds, could you try them?

I tried the following from that page:

Commented out the following two lines in /sites/default/files/.htaccess:

1. Options None
2. Options +FollowSymLinks

sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart apache

I checked php.ini and it says:

safe_mode = Off
memory_limit = 128M

but the error still occurs. :(

Everything seem scorrect. Not sure if it is a theme issue. Could you install a different theme?

These are the six default themes that come with Drupal6 in that Bitnami release – BlueMarine, Chameleon, Garland, Marvin, Minelli and Pushbutton.

I’ll try installing some others. I haven’t made any changes to the Bitnami image at all so I’m confused why others aren’t reporting this.

Have you found out what was the issue. I started the same ami a minute ago and everything works fine.
