MySQL and PostgreSQL together in a stack

I had asked this in 2008.

Any idea if BitNami is considering this in 2011 or not?

In 2009 we released the PostgreSQL module that can be installed on top of the LAMPStack (WAMPStack, MAMPStack or RubyStack). This will allow you to have both MySQL and PostgreSQL in the same stack. You can download it from http://bitnami.com/stack/postgresql.

However, the Postgresql should really be compiled with “readline” support so that inside the shell of psql, arrow keys work. This is pretty fundamental.

Or can I enable this in some way that I am missing? On Mac OSX.

Right, we have disabled readline on OS X because we got some problems with the existing and the bundled readline library. We will revisit this issue in the future.
