Liferay 5.2 on Mac OS X 10.6 Problems
|
|
Getting Liferay up and running has been very simple and efficient (essentially one click!) with the Bitnami installer, thankfully. However, after a reboot mysql refused to come up (PID error). I tried to start with mysqlD_safe and the mysql.server to no avail. What I need: 1. The ctlscript.sh converted to a startup item. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated… -smudoshi |

Hi,
This quick guide could be helpful for you http://bitnami.com/article/how-to-install-servi…
Tomcat is easy to configure to do that. Take a look this guide http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/ssl-how…
The database is not accessible from outside by default. In this post you can find how to configure to be accessible from other machines: http://bitnami.com/forums/forums/virtual-applia… I hope it helps. |

Hi, If you installed the Stack as a regular user you should start it using the same user. Do not use sudo to start it. Cheers. |

Absolutely! Thank you beltran, it was indeed a permissions problem. Pesky permissions… :) We are back up and running now. |
