Okay, I have gotten the Terminal commands to bring back Mediawiki in it’s default location. Can anyone tell me how to use the cd command to get to an external USB drive?? When I try to change to the root directory of the external drive from ~localhost it says no such directory. |

Are you trying to copy the mediawiki directory to an USB? Sorry but I am not sure what you want to do. Could you post the exact steps? |

Exactly. I have Mediawiki running on my internal drive, but it’s low on space for this sort of thing. If I could get Terminal to point (cd = change directory) to an external USB drive i would have all kinds of space for it to grow. This computer gets shut down and rebooted at times, and Terminal was the only way that reinitialized the stack. |

This post could be helpful for you http://bitnami.com/article/how-to-install-servi… Could you check if Apache or MySQL servers are started before booting your system? |

The link you posted didn’t work for me, it’s what i tried to post above. i’m not running a separate server for MySQL, it’s a single home computer with an external USB hard drive. |

Well it took me almost a week, but i figured it out. |

I’m glad to hear this. Could you post the final solution to help other users? |
