How to Access Redmine Database
|
|
I’m using the Redmine Windows package. I’ve forgotten my password for my admin access, so I need to go into the MySQL database to change my password. How do I access the database in Windows? I’d rather not have to reinstall the whole application, since I’ve already got some issues in there. |

It seems I have another issue as well . . . I checked the Wiki on how to log into mysql, and as it occurs to me, I probably forgot the root password that I set when installing the Bitnami application, so if I can’t access the Mysql database, I won’t be able to change my password. As for using the “forgot password”, I’m not sure I’ve got the .yml configured properly as the email hasn’t reached my mailbox. |

Okay . . . problem resolved simply by opening console, logging into the database as bitnami and changing hashed_password for the admin account. See this post http://www.adammooz.com/2011/03/06/how-to-manua… for more info. |

I’m glad to hear that. Thanks for posting the solution. |
