[OSX] mysql.sock gone missing

Rails is complaing:
“Errno::ENOENT (No such file or directory – /Applications/rubystack-1.0/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock):”

I’m not sure how this happened.

Is there a way to re-generate the file?

Hi,

Is the MySQL database running? You can start or stop with ctlscript.sh:

$ ctlscript.sh start mysql

The msyql.sock file is created automatically when you start the database.
