Windows Install - trac-admin commands not found

Hi,

I’ve installed the 0.12 Trac stack on a Win 7 machine using defaults. Install went to plan (no errors reported) and I can browse repo, edit wiki pages etc from the web interface.
However I can’t seem to invoke any command line trac-admin commands successfully aside from the generic trac-admin —version which returns “trac-admin-script.py 0.12.2”. All attempts to add users, resync etc return with the following error message: “Error: Command not found”. I’ve attempted the commands with both full project paths and from directly within the project folder(s).
Any tips or pointer as to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Are you running the command from the use_trac console from the Windows Start Menu shortcuts? This console loads the environment variables for running any Stack command.

Yes I ran the commands from within the use_trac console.

We cannot reproduce the issue. It works for us using the relative paths to the project folder or the full path. Notice that you need to use the path to the project itself not to the projects folder (where all the projects will reside). However if the command is not correct or if you are using a non valid project path then you will receive the “Error: Command not found”.

Thanks for your efforts.
I finally managed to get the stack up and running by doing a full re-install (using defaults both times); very strange as nothing explicitly changed on the machine between the installations. However obviously something did differ so when/if I get a chance to dig into this I’ll report back to the forum.
