mySql section of TRACKS stopped working
I have been running TRACKS 1.7 for a few months on a CentOS 5.2 pc. Today I rebooted the CentOS after updating the kernel. Now the TRACKS is not functional as the mySql won’t start. Here is the output when trying just the mySql part: /home/user/tracks17/mysql/scripts/ctl.sh : mysql could not be started Anyone know what changed that it is asking for a mysql user? I do not recall seeing that in the past. Is the lack of mysql the whole problem? |

Have you installed as root user? If you have installed as regular user you should use the same user to start it. Could you post the mysql log file: /mysql/data/mysqld.log? Cheers. |

i had the same issue and it indeed was a problem that the user that tracks is installed with was not root, so the xinet startup did not work. |
