How to install zip-function to the wampstack?

I dont seem to have support for zip-files in the server(wampstack). I work in the admin-area in one of my webshopps installed on my wampstack, and i need to add a template, and to do so i am supossed to upload the zipfile. But when i do that i get the message that says “Zip is not installed on your server. Ask your host for further information.”
So, how do i install zip-function to the wampstack? Cant find the info anywhere.
Do i need to install extra modules to the wampstack?

Hi,

You can add the zip extension uncommenting the following line in the installdir/php/php.ini file:

;extension=php_zip.dll

and restart the servers from the BitNami Start Menu shortcuts.

This means that zip-functions are already in place but “switched-off” after the stack has been installed? Why is that, is it any problem with having that function uncommented?

Yes it is disabled by defautl but you can enable it wihtout problems. Cheers.
