Does WAPP support UTF-8 by default ...

Played with the broken WAPP-1.2-0 installation, I found that “postgresql/bin/initdb.exe” refused locale like en_US.UTF-8 … even en_US was invalid ;-( The accepted locale is nothing but C, too bad for modern i18n applications … I found a post similar at [http://bitnami.com/forums/forums/mappstack/topi…], also hope for UTF-8 support by default … |

Hi shyokou, Do you have any problem during the installation? Could you provide more details of what are you trying to accomplish? The locale is taken from your system, if you change the regional settings on Windows, the installation will be done using a diferent locale. |

Hi victoria, I did report problems encounted at [http://bitnami.com/forums/forums/wappstack/topi…] days ago, just failed with all six from WAPP-1.2-0 down to WAPP-1.1-0, around the point where initdb/service etc … I just want an i18n capable stack to translate a project, where utf8 might be the simplest … I wonder if the essential batch files, not showing in logs, exists in the virtual filesystem of bitrock, since I find no way to extract the installer package for sure … |
