Database Problem

Hello,
I am brand new to bitnami and wordpress. I built a wordpress site and attempted to upload the wordpress content via ftp. Now I can no longer open the site via local host nor can I establish a connection online. My hosting site is telling me I need to export my database which I cannot find…I followed online tutorials for this and it did not mention this step. I am afraid I have lost all of my work. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to salavage and locate my database to upload with the rest of my content?

Thank you, the problem is I know next to nothing about programming. If I attempt this back up where do I type that mysql dump code? Is it possible I lost all of my data?

Hi,

There is no problem to run in your machine, you will get a file with a dump of your database. If you upload to your hosting you will lose your hosting database.
