We’re pleased to announce that the BitNami AMP and APP Stacks have just been updated to include the Amazon Web Services (AWS) PHP SDK as well as updated versions of Apache and PostgreSQL (where appropriate). As the Amazon website explains it, "The AWS SDK for PHP makes it easier for developers to build applications that tap into the cost-effective, scalable, and reliable AWS cloud. Using the SDK, developers can build solutions for Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon SimpleDB, and more. " By including the Amazon PHP SDK in our Apache + MySQL + PHP (AMP) and Apache + PostgreSQL + PHP (APP) Stacks, BitNami Stacks now make it easier to develop applications that run on AWS. Because the Stacks are available as native installers, virtual machine images and AMIs, you can develop on a local machine natively or in a virtual environment and then deploy the application to Amazon EC2 for testing and production.

In addition to the inclusion of the Amazon AWS PHP SDK, the APP and AMP Stacks include the following improvements:

LAMPStack (Apache, MySQL, PHP and supporting software for Linux):

MAMPStack (Apache, MySQL, PHP and supporting software for Mac OS X):

WAMPStack (Apache, MySQL, PHP and supporting software for Windows):

LAPPStack (Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP and supporting software for Linux):

MAPPStack (Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP and supporting software for Mac OS X):

WAPPStack (Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP and supporting software for Windows):

Enjoy!
