I’ve gotten the TomcatStack running on an EC2 instance. I can see the running Tomcat instance, and I can log into the manager app to deploy my WAR file.

However, when I select the WAR file on my local machine and try to upload it, the whole thing just hangs. It keeps saying that its “contacting ” but it never actually does anything.

Is there some special magic I need to know to deploy to this stack running on AWS?

Thanks

Hi,

Maybe it is better to copy the war to the application directly instead of uploading from the Tomcat manager application. Take a look this guide to know how to connect to your instance and copy files http://wiki.bitnami.com/cloud/how_to_connect_to…

Unfortunately, I don’t have direct SSH access to the server. The instance was created by my customer, and he only gave me access to the Tomcat server via the manager. Is there any way that I can deploy this way?

Hi,

I checked that I can upload a WAR file in the Tomcat AMI. Could you post the WAR file size?

do you have the needed ports open in your firewall?

Hi,

It is not necessary, just upload the war file to the tomcat manager application.
