I am trying to setup the djangostack appliance and I can’t ping the IP address or reach the web site from my desktop where I am running the appliance in VMware workstation. ifconfig in the appliance returns a valid IPv4 address but I can’t reach the site from any browser it just returns TCP timeout every time. I looked at netstat -an in the appliance and it is listening on port 80 with protocol tcp6, but not with plain tcp. Is this intentional? how do I disable ipv6 so I can access the VM?

Hi,

Have you cojnfigured you Virtual Appliance network as “NAT” or as “BRIDGE”? You can find more info at http://wiki.bitnami.com/Virtual_Appliances_Quic….3f
