My Django app is running just fine with manage.py runserver in BitNAMI, but with BitNAMI mod_wsgi (set up with all the defaults) it’s throwing a weird exception.

The full description is here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5119964/baff…

One poster suggests: “Your web server is out of file handles. Reconfigure the WSGI app for daemon mode.”

Please could anyone suggest how to do this?

And why is BitNAMI mod_wsgi running out of file handles? (My knowledge of mod_wsgi is minimal.)

Thanks!

Hi,

Could you try the following solution? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1656159/coul…

Thanks.

No, the sys.path in WSGI is definitely going to the root of my project, not my Django app.

I’ve also tried the answer described here, i.e. rewriting the WSGI script to mimic the Django server: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3749033/prob…

But no luck.

Bizarrely, I can set up the exact same project fine with BitNami DjangoStack on a Windows XP machine, but not on this Windows Server 2008 machine. So I know it’s nothing in my Django code. It must be something about this setup on this machine.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

Sorry about that. The Stack configuration is the same for both Windows versions so not sure what could be the problem is.
