I just downloaded it, and tried

sh /home/andy/Desktop/downloads/bitnami-lampstack-0.9.4-linux-installer.bin

but that returned:

/home/andy/Desktop/downloads/bitnami-lampstack-0.9.4-linux-installer.bin: 1: Syntax error: “(” unexpected

please help

Hi,

You only need to give it executable permissions:

$ chmod +x bitnami-lampstack-0.9.4-linux.bin

To begin the installation process, invoke from a shell or double-click on
the file:

$ ./bitnami-lampstack-0.9.4-linux-installer.bin

I had a similar problem. The solution I found that actually worked was:

sudo chmod +x filename.bin && ./filename.bin

Hi!

I would like to run a LAMP-VM and install Redmine-Module in top of it. Should i download and run the module from my desktop or in the VM? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You should download into the Virtual Machine and install on it. Notice that you need RubyStack to be able to install Redmine module. Cheers.
