Which Linux do you recommend to use as a Virtual Machine (one Machine for each of the bitnami Applications)? It should run on a vmware server on Windows Server 2003 all Servicepacks installed.

It would be great to hear the excact version and release with which Alfresco and Liferay has been tested and working in the current version.

Thanks so much.

Cheers,
tronics

Hi you can use whatever Linux distribution to install BitNami Stacks (UNIX family not FreeBSD family). We have tested on Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, Fedora and SuSe but it also runs on other distributions such as Damn Small Linux. At this moment we have some problems with Alfresco Stack and we will release a new version as soon as possible but Liferay runs perfectly.

Cheers.

Thanks for your comment! This sounds very good.
I like Ubuntu a great deal.. I think I will go and try with this one..

I’m looking forward to Alfresco :)
