I wanted to upgrade my Bitnami stack so I uninstalled my old stack and downloaded 1.2-2. When I try to install it gives me a message of “There is not enough space on /Applications/mampstack-1.2-2. You need at least 0 MB in order to install BitNami MAMPStack”. I’ve got plenty of space on my hard drive over 30 GB. So I don’t know why it won’t install. I’ve tripled check and all the old MAMP stack files are gone.

Anyone know what is up?

Hi,

Could you post the result of “df -h” command?

Avatar librarywebchic 3 post(s)

When I run df -h I get the following

Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/disk0s2 100Gi 62Gi 38Gi 63% /
devfs 108Ki 108Ki 0Bi 100% /dev
fdesc 1.0Ki 1.0Ki 0Bi 100% /dev
map -hosts 0Bi 0Bi 0Bi 100% /net
map auto_home 0Bi 0Bi 0Bi 100% /home
/dev/disk0s3 365Gi 129Gi 236Gi 36% /Volumes/Mac_Data

Hi,

It is strange. Could try to run the installer with the following option and send us the log.txt file?

$ ./bitnami-mampstack-1.2-2-osx-x86-installer.app/Contents/MacOS/installbuilder.sh —debugtrace log.txt

As a workaround you can install the Stack in unattended mode:

$ ./bitnami-mampstack-1.2-2-osx-x86-installer.app/Contents/MacOS/installbuilder.sh —mode unattended —base_password xxxxxx

Thanks.

Seems to install fine if I do

sudo ./bitnami-mampstack-1.2-2-osx-x86-installer.app/Contents/MacOS/installbuilder.sh

When I don’t do sudo I get a message about not having permissions to write to the Application directory. I’m attaching the log.txt file that was created when I tried to run the command without sudo.

Hi,

Maybe your user does not have premissions to write in the “Applications” folder. You can try to install in a different folder like:

/Users/your_user_name/mampstack

Cheers.
