please help me!

Avatar ozone 16 post(s)

i found this in the file report.txt

If you plan to use rmagick you will also need to add environment information to
‘config/environment.rb’. This information is included in the
BitNami RubyStack directory as well. It can be added like this:

$ cat /Applications/rubystack/environment-sample.rb >> your_application/config/environment.rb

but the file /Applications/rubystack/environment-sample.rb doesn’t exist in my rubystack folder

Hi ozone

To use RMagick, you should add the following lines to your environment.rb file:

ENV["MAGICK_CODER_MODULE_PATH"]="<installdir>/common/lib/ImageMagick-6.5.8/modules-Q16/coders"
ENV["GS_FONTPATH"] = "<installdir>/common/share/ghostscript/fonts"
ENV["MAGICK_CONFIGURE_PATH"]="<installdir>/common/lib/ImageMagick-6.5.8/config"
ENV["GS_LIB"] = "<installdir>/common/share/ghostscript/fonts"

Replacing installdir with the location where you have installed the stack.

Hi,

Just to check if ImageMagick is installed correctly, can you post the result of running this?

identify  -list format

Also, could you try adding this to environment.rb ?

Paperclip.options[:command_path] = "/Applications/rubystack/common/bin"

Maybe this error is because i am using the paperclip plugin instead of gem

note:
When i deploy the application in my server on railsplayground i need to add an additional file
myapp/config/paperclip.rb and also change the owner of the app running this command in my server console
sudo chown admin:apache myapp -R, with these changes my app can run on railsplayground servers

Hi,

it seems ImageMagick is working.Could you try removing it from environment.rb and adding config/paperclip.rb with the contents:

Paperclip.options[:magick_home] = ‘/Applications/rubystack/common’
Paperclip.options[:command_path] = ‘/Applications/rubystack/common/bin’

ok i have done the correction in paperclip.rb

but i got the same error

Hi ozone,

I apologize for the delay getting back to you.

We finally figure out the source of this problem. It was not related to ImageMagick as we thought but to Ruby Enterprise bugs in OSX. We have modified Ruby version in latest RubyStack in order to avoid these bugs and paperclip seems to work fine now.

Please let us know if it works for you
