We have installed the Bitnami stack for SVN on a 64-bit Windows 2008 server recently. Is there any reason to NOT do this? We are having many issues on our much older non-Bitnami-based Subversion running on a 32-bit Windows 2003 server. From what I saw of posts on these forums, you said that BitNami apps definitely support 32-bit versions running on a 64-bit Windows O/S (as long as you install into a directory name not containing spaces or special characters). Comments? Thank you!

Hi,

BitNami Stacks also supports Windows-64bit distributions so there is not any reason to not to install it.

Thanks for that reply. The reason we asked is hat we had an issue with Apache ‘crashing’ on the machine soon after we went into production with it. It had been up and running for a full 30-days prior in test mode for a limited group of users. We’ll have to watch this to get more details of it should it keep happening. Thanks again for your answer.
