I am not able to apply the steps contained in the FAQ titled “How to install VMWare tools on Bitnami Virtual Appliances”.

When I issue “$ sudo mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom” I get “unknown device” returned even though I have a CDRom drive attached to the VM.

And when I try to issue the command “$ sudo rp, i VMWareTools.rpm” I get “rpm: command not found”

Thanks

Thanks

Hi,

You have to add the cdrom device in your VMWare control panel. If you are running the Ubuntu Virtual Appliance, you have to uncompress the .tar.gz file and continue with the same steps.
