I have installed drupal on vmware player and I cant work out how to access the drupal install directories on the virtual machine. I have had a look at the bitnami vm quickstart guide but dont understand the syntax. for example:
$ sudo mv /etc/init/ssh.conf.back /etc/init/ssh.conf
$ sudo start ssh
I have tried typing the above command exactly as it is above at the prompt below but it is not recognized
bitnami@linux:~>
I guess by now you can see that I have no idea what I am doing but I am hoping that someone can direct me to a resource where I can learn how to use these commands properly.
thanks

Could you post the exact error? You should run the commands but without the “$” char.

There was no specific error other than my using the $ char in the string. I have it working now. Thanks so much for your help.

I’m glad to hear that.
