I´m trying use GD functions in simple web pages (php), but occured some
errors, in a simple code using GD simply don´t show the image and appear a message like " image contain erro and can´t display…" os some thing like that.
I had tested the same code in other computer, without Bitnami Stack (WAMP) and the code run normaly.

Need i configure something to use GD ? I had read the GD is default enable in Bitnami WAMP Stack.
Using the phpinfo (); i can see GD enable.

The enviromment is Bitnami Wamp Stack 1,2-5, Win 7 Pro 64bit. Running in port 80

Tks for all!

the gd.php file code :
===========
<?php
header (“Content-type: image/png”);
$im = imagecreatetruecolor(50, 100)
or die(“Cannot Initialize new GD image stream”);
$text_color = imagecolorallocate($im, 233, 14, 91);
imagestring($im, 1, 5, 5, “A Simple Text String”, $text_color);
imagepng($im);
imagedestroy($im)
?>
===========
tks

Result is in a image file FF4_gd_output.png but, my browser language is configured to portuguese and the translation is :

The image “http: / / localhost: 8080/gd.php” contains errors and can not be displayed

Some thing like that.

Ps.: In others browsers i can´t see the message error
When i put " phpinfo ();" in firt line of gd.php file, display other error using FF4 browser (attached file FF4_phpinfo_inGD_output.png)

Hello guys,
I think discovered the problem with GD here and i apologize.
The problem is when create files using different encode files ( UTF-8 and ISO 8859-1). When we are using the UTF-8 the GD not work but, when we are using ISO-8859-1 the GD works fine.
So, to close this thread. It has an independent way to resolve the code set?
