26 Jul, 2011 03:08 PM Josué Álvarez 15 post(s) Hello saajjj, This will be fixed in the next version of BitNami Djangostack. In the meantime, could you try using the attached scripts to register BitNami Python in the registry? Like this: Go to Start menu / Programs / BitNami Djangostack/, right click on “Use Djangostack”, select “Run As Administrator”. Once the console loads, you can run: python.exe path\to\registerpython.py There can only be one Python be in the Registry for each version, so you may have to remove the ‘regular’ Python before. You can uninstall it, or you can use the attached script “unregisterpython.py” like this: path\to\regular\python.exe path\to\unregisterpython.py Please let me know if this helps. 26 Jul, 2011 02:32 PM Daniel Castro 4 post(s) Beltran, Beltran, As the user bitnami procedures used in the connection. BitNami Trac 0.12.2-1 was configured with mod_python and it was necessary to do this step. Check the README.txt file, section 8.3.1 Installing Trac plugins and Python eggs – NOTE FOR WINDOWS USERS. 26 Jul, 2011 02:21 PM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Hi, It is a known issue, you can just click on the database upgrade and the issue is resolved. However, I have encountered an error with the database being out of date but didn’t occur in the old virtual appliance. This is a “fresh” install. Please see screenshots below: Perhaps this issue could be fixed in the next virtual appliance release 7.6-0? Or even better 7.4-1 (or is this asking too much)? 26 Jul, 2011 02:02 PM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Thanks for posting the fix. 26 Jul, 2011 01:47 PM Daniel Castro 4 post(s) Hello Beltran, Sure I can send the details. I already use putty to connect to the other’s ec2 ami. The only problem is access to the svn apliance provided by bitnami. In aws was created by the private key and the ppk corresponding puttygen begotten, all as the procedure of the wiki. And yet the described error occurs. I am using Windows 7 + Putty + PuTTYgen. The apliance this on EC2. 26 Jul, 2011 01:02 PM andremendes 15 post(s) Topic: Trac / Plugin does not appear Hi Victoria, Here is: In admin sheet > plugins session. I’ve installed those plugins via search and install. Somehow i’ve managed to re-install whiteboard, dont know how exactly. I’m using bitnami trac 0.12.2-1, should i run update_mod_pyhton_libs after i install test manager and its dependencies? Thanks and sorry for taking a while to answer. 26 Jul, 2011 10:40 AM saajjj 4 post(s) Hello, I’m using the Bitnami Djangostack (django 1.2.5) for Windows on Win7 I need to add the python-ldap module to the Python installation in Bitnami. When I run the python-ldap installer it asks for a directory which contains the py26 installation, I pick the correct directory and then ‘something’ happens. What I can state with certainty is that no ldap module is created. To confirm that the installer was working properly, I had no problems adding the ldap module to the ‘regular’ python installation in c:\python26 (import ldap didn’t raise any errors) Could this be something to do with the fact that the python-ldap installer (an msi) is looking for the path to the django python in the registry? Appreciate any help in this regard 26 Jul, 2011 08:03 AM ashmoth 5 post(s) Ok it seems there was an error caused by my theme. I shall post the fix here in case someone uses “Arras Theme”: Fatal error: Call to undefined method Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud::WP_Widget_Tag_Cloud() in /home/10/public_html/mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/arras/library/widgets.php on line 404 To Fix this go to /wp-content/themes/arras/library/widgets.php Find : function Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud() { $this→WP_Widget_Tag_Cloud(); } Change To : function Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud() { parent::__construct(); } 26 Jul, 2011 07:14 AM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Hi, rspec and rspec-rails is already included in the Stack. The log file is in the mysql/data folder. I suggest to use BitNami Cloud Hosting for backups, which are properly configured to create consistent snapshots https://bitnami.com/cloud Regards. 26 Jul, 2011 06:54 AM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Hi, Yes, the installers are production ready. It is not possible to configure with your existing Apache or MySQL servers. I suggest to install it and then migrate the redmine database and configure your Apache server properly. 26 Jul, 2011 04:33 AM atsn 1 post I tried running mysql_secure_installation program at /opt/bitnami/mysql/bin/, but I get the following error message after attempting to change the MySQL root password from ‘bitnami’: “unknown variable defaults-file=.my.cnf.1258 password update failed”. Any thoughts? Thanks! 25 Jul, 2011 09:20 PM kumar_pankaj3 9 post(s) Thanks Beltran for the response. 25 Jul, 2011 09:13 PM kuzi 1 post I am having some problems with the rspec gems (rspec, and rspec-rails) I need these in my TDD. I was following very good instructions in Youtube about how to make consistent MySql backups (EBS snapshots) in Amazon AWS. The tutorial refers to 3 MySQL directories that should be included in the snapshot (and thus be moved to separate volume): /etc/mysql /var/lib/mysql /var/log/mysql I was wondering which are the corresponding directories in Bitnami. As I understand /installdir/mysql/data is one of them. Which are the other two? 25 Jul, 2011 05:29 PM rweinbaum 1 post I want to install Redmine on a server where Apache and MySQL already reside (neither installed by a BitNami stack). Can I just install the Redmine module alone and configure it to work with my existing Apache and MySQL? If so how? Also, Redmine requires Ruby which also seems to require Apache and MySQL. Is there an installer for Ruby that can take advantage of my existing MySQL and Apache? Also, are the installers production ready? 25 Jul, 2011 04:50 PM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Thanks for reporting it, I fixed the wiki. I’m afraid that i can not help you with this. 25 Jul, 2011 04:47 PM qSkills 3 post(s) Hi Beltrán, I followed your advice and added the allowconnect to the virtualhosts and loaded them in Apache 2 but it didn’t help. We thought it would be an error in the crontab, thus we changed the directory but we still get the same error. The thing what I don’t understand, is that I can open the file “https://redmine.qs.de//sys/projects.xml?key=key” (we changed the directory, it was localhost/redmine..) and see all projects in XML-style. Here is our crontab-statement: */2 * * * * /opt/bitnami/ruby/bin/ruby /opt/bitnami/apps/redmine/extra/svn/reposman.rb —redmine redmine.qs.de/ —svn-dir /opt/bitnami/repository/svn —owner root —group daemon —command=“/opt/bitnami/subversion/bin/svnadmin create —pre-1.6-compatible —fs-type fsfs” —url https://redmine.qs.de/svn —key=key —verbose >> /var/log/reposman.log And here the redmine.conf: ServerAdmin sysadmin ServerName redmine.qs.de ServerAlias redmine ErrorLog “logs/error.log” CustomLog “logs/access.log” combined This passes through remote_user to mongrel RewriteEngine On Redirect non-static requests to cluster RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$ RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [L] AllowCONNECT 80 443 563 ServerAdmin sysadmin ServerName redmine.qs.de ServerAlias redmine2 ErrorLog “logs/error.log” CustomLog “logs/access.log” combined This passes through remote_user to mongrel RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ balancer://redminecluster%{REQUEST_URI} [P,QSA,L] SSLEngine on SSLCertificateFile /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key ProxyPass / balancer://redminecluster ProxyPassReverse / balancer://redminecluster ProxyPass /svn ! Are you trying from Windows? Are you ussing Putty? 25 Jul, 2011 09:19 AM victoria 134 post(s) Topic: Trac / Plugin does not appear Hi, Could you post the exact steps that you followed? Which version of the BitNami Trac Stack did you use? Could you use the latest one? It is 0.12.2-1 and it is configured with mod_wsgi. This introduced some improvements when installing plugins. If you are using an older version of the stack it would be configured with mod_python and you may need to execute the update_mod_python_libs.bat script. 25 Jul, 2011 09:10 AM Beltrán Rueda 3,714 post(s) Try to restart the servers and check if there is any error in the Apache log file your_installdir/apache2/logs/error.log.
