    Once installed, it works Perfectly

    by Tomer Libal on

I had some difficulties using the installer as it was stuck on 100% endlessly. After trying out different configurations, it managed to install and is running smoothly. Thanks!

    "Unable to create symbolic link"

    by Glen Byram on

I'm trying to install in a VirtualBox vm under Ubuntu 16.04 desktop (having previously given up trying to install on a gui-less server). Always a string of errors due to unable to create symbolic links. i have tried to install as root, as an admin, chmod +777 on installation folder, install to /opt, install to ~/... Always the same sad failure.

Can't get it to run "out of the box"

    by Glen Byram on

The pre-built VM always failed to serve pages. After 2 days for wading through obscure logs, I was unable to work out what was causing the "unauthorised" errors in the Ruby libraries. I don't think the code is written to be easily ported (unlike other genuine open source LMSs).

The March 2017 update works as expected!

    by Tony Hetrick on

The initial testing of the March 2017 build seems to have fixed some issues the in the previous builds. It installed without incident on Ubuntu 16.04.2 (with 4GB RAM). I put the email credentials in during the setup, and the system delivered the emails for new user registration. So far, the background jobs are working correctly, and the courses imported as expected.

    Great work bitnami

    by Muhammad Saifullah Khalid on

Our school has purchase a license, but for test purposes we use bitnami stack of canvas.

The only issue we have had so far is:

    It's not running automated tasks.

Like if I import content in a course, it shows "Queued" in the status bar and never loads the content in the course.

If anyone can help me on that, it would be awesome.
