Need PHP or Zend Framework Training?

Why use the Bitnami LAMP Stack?

Bitnami makes it easy to run LAMP in the cloud, locally or virtually. The Bitnami LAMP Stack is:

  • Up-to-date

We track every release of LAMP and update our stack shortly after it's released.

  • Secure

If serious security issues are discovered, we provide new versions of LAMP as soon as possible, often within hours of the availability of a fix.

  • Consistent

With Bitnami, you get the same software stack and configuration regardless of where you are deploying LAMP or other Bitnami Applications. This makes it easy to migrate between different platforms.

With the Bitnami LAMP Stack compiling, configuring and all of its dependencies are taken care of, so it works out-of-the-box.

  1. Bitnami LAMP 5

    Excellent Product

    by Alex Warner on

Prior to using LAMP & AWS I was hosting my sites on a shared platform with a sub-par hosting provider. This has been my first foray into the DIY realm and I'm very grateful for all documentation Bitnami provides. It's working perfectly, I love having complete control and if something comes up the community always has an answer.

    Annoying to setup

    by shanoor on

If you need a quick test environment, don't use this, it requires god knows how much time to set up before being usable, ssh connection refused, no server exposed outside localhost and so on.
