The Bitnami Magento Stack provides a one-click install solution for Magento. Download installers and virtual machines, or run your own Magento server in the cloud.

Magento is one of the most popular open source ecommerce shopping cart systems. It is extremely flexible and has a huge variety of features to build just about any store. Features include SEO-readiness, multi-store support, marketing tools, deep analytics, catalog management, a robust shopping cart with support for multiple shipping addresses and more. The Magento project is backed by eBay, so you can be confident that it will be around for the long run, and it offers multiple editions, including small business and enterprise editions, to help grow with your business.

Why use the Bitnami Magento Stack?

Bitnami makes it easy to run Magento in the cloud, locally or virtually. The Bitnami Magento Stack is:

  • Up-to-date

We track every release of Magento and update our stack shortly after it's released.

  • Secure

If serious security issues are discovered, we provide new versions of Magento as soon as possible, often within hours of the availability of a fix.

  • Consistent

With Bitnami, you get the same software stack and configuration regardless of where you are deploying Magento or other Bitnami Applications. This makes it easy to migrate between different platforms.

With the Bitnami Magento Stack stack compiling, configuring and all of its dependencies are taken care of, so it works out-of-the-box.

Great simple and fast to get it running

    by Mikko Kujapelto on

I used to install, configure and do all kinds of stuff in the command line prior actually having anything ready. Now I get the image and I have a wordclass open source ecommerce platform at my finger tips. Bitnami is a great service and saves a lot of tedious work in getting an application running by having ALL supporting software installed and ready to go!

Magento is by far the number 1 why go enterprise?

    by Justin Jeffries on

I have been a magento developer for around 12 months now, but after speaking with a client using enterprise i fail to see the need for using it and paying the enormous fees, all the features that used to be unique now appear to be included in the enterprise edition according to this article

I will be moving a new client currently on a sonassi cloud to your service to trial it in the next few weeks as i love the integrated and support your company is offering above that of most of the other specialists in magento hosing.

Please let me know if you think i should keep the current client on magento enterprise or move them to community?

    I don't know!

    by Salvador Cerquido on

    Why don't I know?

Because I am not able to open any folder outside the server.

Some of us (developers) are mildly interested in having to reconfigure ports or find private key or how to connect via FTP as if I am connecting to CIA servers...

Some of just want to get to play with CODE and are not so keen in the rest.

Honestly, this is very easy to download and to start. After that, it feels like I am trying to open a safe!

Please, give us a completely unsafe/open machine so we can start looking at the software and let the sysadmins worry about security later.

    That, would be great.
