Too many little glitches - unusable

    by Don Doffe on

Trialled the suite for the startup.

Shows some promise, yet is rough around the edges. No way to change the currency (simply does not work), creating a customer gets stuck. All these little glitches make the system unusable.

9.0. Downloading version 8 to check if it fares better

    MrD Engineer

This is a terrible platform, it has so many bait and switch features is makes it impossible to use. When a positive review is posted it is internal within the company, boosting their own product. These features are setup to bill your credit card. Not to provide you with a usable service.

    Server Configuration OK

    by Simeon Tsvetanov on

In relation to my previous post about reverse proxy problem, now everything works fine. Probably some caching issue or incorrect configuration.

    Server Configuration

    by Simeon Tsvetanov on

I just installed Odoo on Virtual Machine Ubuntu 14 with no issues, but when I open it in "localhost:8080", it redirects to "localhost:8080/web". For me is critical to open the application directly in localhost:8080, because I use use Nginx as a reverse proxy, but it works only with IP:Port.

So, the question is how to configure the web server to open the application directly in "localhost:8080" instead of "localhost:8080/web" (expected to be easy), or how to configure nginx reverse proxy to "localhost:8080/web"?

    very poor user experience

    by François Campart on

Odoo is a nice SW but it's very buggy. I can't count the issues I've encountered setting up this SW. What I have the most, are those error message totally unfriendly.
