The Bitnami Odoo Stack provides a one-click install solution for Odoo. Download installers and virtual machines, or run your own Odoo server in the cloud.

Odoo, formerly known as OpenERP, isn’t just one application. It’s hundreds. Odoo is an enterprise resource platform from which you can manage all your business operations – from supply chain and project management, to accounting and HR. Out of the box, Odoo includes messaging, sales CRM and reporting modules. Click the settings tab and you’ll be presented with nearly 2000 other modules – bug tracking, project management, timesheets, MRP, recruiting, calendar, warehouse management, and much, much more – that can be deployed with one click.

Why use the Bitnami Odoo Stack?

Bitnami makes it easy to run Odoo in the cloud, locally or virtually. The Bitnami Odoo Stack is:

  • Up-to-date

We track every release of Odoo and update our stack shortly after it's released.

  • Secure

If serious security issues are discovered, we provide new versions of Odoo as soon as possible, often within hours of the availability of a fix.

  • Consistent

With Bitnami, you get the same software stack and configuration regardless of where you are deploying Odoo or other Bitnami Applications. This makes it easy to migrate between different platforms.

With the Bitnami Odoo Stack compiling, configuring and all of its dependencies are taken care of, so it works out-of-the-box.

    Meet the Sopranos ...

    by Mark Hutton on

I have been a fan since OpenERP 6, and have spent a great deal of time trying to get a set up going for my single person company (with a view to making it a bigger than single person company).

It is a very accomplished application, but in my mind suffers from what is most wrong in cloud applications, that is there is no consistency. The application itself and the way in which it is offered changes so rapidly that there is no way I can keep up with it. The costs are excessive for a small business and they seem to have played the usual open source mafia trick of offering it free until the users have assisted in wiping out the major bugs then offering it at an extortionate price once you have invested time and effort.

Granted it is possibly cheaper than SAP or one of the other major players but it is still out of the reach of the pockets of many start ups and SMEs. £20 per module (you need a minimum of 4 or 5, if not a good deal more), plus per user charges and base subscription (and you might have to add hosting charges on top).

Of course there is still the free version, but from version 9 the free version has been hamstrung. For example, though it is not clearly documented, the website builder doesn't work properly in the free version. The options are all still there in the menu, they just don't work.

The argument for using Odoo diminishes daily. Cheaper to use the alternatives. Or stick with a self hosted Odoo 8.

Love this, works right out of the box

    by raycollazo on

Saved me alot of time. It usually takes me a couple of hours to configure a fully working Odoo server like this on Azure.

I do have a question, I can't seem to find documentation or notes on Wiki as to the Webmin configs, and postgres passwords etc....

The big question is do you have a recommended way to upgrade these to Enterprise 9 version? We have license, but everytime I overwrite the addons with the enterprise addons (which is how we usually do it) the system breaks....any info would be appreciated. Great job

Hi, We believe that it is only possible to upgrade to enterprise by creating a backup of the database and then upgrading it. More information can be found here: https://upgrade.odoo.com/database/upload
