Bitanmi semplify the test, and configuring of your personal site. Whit wordpress i have learn to use this CMS quickly and easily
If this is supposed to be a fast, failsafe method of installing WP locally, then I dread to think what the alternatives are.
After trying to get going with Wordpress by installing MAMP and then a Wordpress incident and having issues with plugin updates I found the Bitnami Wordpress stack a dream to work with. Unfortunately I ran into issues when I wanted to develop >1 site locally. The Multi-site version wasn't suitable for my needs. Found I was better off going back and installing plain Bitnami MAMP with as many Bitnami Wordpress modules as I wanted. If there was another way to do it I didn't find it in the support docs/forums/google.
If you will be building more than one site locally, this Wordpress installer probably isn't for you but there are definitely many awesome Bitnami options out there that will work.
I had never installed WordPress due to the comments of my buddies related to the hardness of the process. Until now. The installation process was so easy and no advertisements on installer at all. This is the best WordPress installer I met so far.
