Almost perfect but still has some kinks

    by Pedro D'Ardis on

I tried the two PVs on Amazon and they booted up, but didn't start.

then I gave the HVM a shot and it worked.

After that, installation went smoothly and in a couple of hours I had my intranet going.

The interface is intuitive, and functionality appears to be quite extensible.

Major bug: in the current version, the mobile app's "gadgets" which includes calendaring, a must-have feature for us, are not working. On their site's forum it says that it is something that will be fixed in the next release, so that makes me worry a lot.

Basic mobile app functionality as comments and documents work ok, but the feeling is that you are using a stunted product on the mobile side.

Web functionality works, as far as I can tell after a day's tests, 100%

    ok, read the manual

    by Dmitry Ledentsov on

The documentation for the eXo Platform has something to say about the minimum requirements. The VM image seems just too weakly preconfigured with 1GB RAM, whereas the manual says: 4GB physical RAM, at least 1GB free for JVM's max heap memory
