Written in Zope (Python), Plone is extremely flexible and adaptable for all kinds of projects, from websites to blogs to intranets. Plone features a rich text and HTML editor, mobile-ready templates, SEO-friendly URLs, workflow, and more. There are a couple thousand different plugins for Plone and a large global community.

    Full-featured, flexible CMS, with Great Community

    Plone offers tons of out of the box features that I usually need to download as separate modules with other CMS tools. It's easy to get a lot done on it, without any development, but it's also a great platform to quickly build add-on modules on top of, which integrate with other SaaS platforms/services, or whatever I need to do.

    The Bitnami installer is a great way to quickly install Plone on an Ubuntu server, for example, which I think is the way to go.
